Strwbry Jean Zine: How long have you been creating your own music?
LUI$A: I’ve been releasing original songs since 2019, but have been writing since 2017. I started making beats at 6th grade.
Strwbry Jean Zine: Where do you want to be in the future?
LUI$A: I would like to produce, write and compose songs for other artists, have my own concerts and influence the youth to produce and create, accept their flaws, and unleash their creativity through art. Location wise, I would like to go to Tokyo in the future (if that’s the question).
Strwbry Jean Zine: How would you describe your music style?
LUI$A: My music is a mix of 2000's r&b with today's trap music, which is heavily influenced by the urban life of Prishtina and Manhattan. By combining both of these cultures I present a modern and diverse style, which can be showcased to my songs. I hope to bring a sound which is contemporary, yet impactful and distinctive to the mainstream scene.
Strwbry Jean Zine: Who's your music inspiration?
LUI$A: My music is inspired by Jun Fukamachi, Rina Sawayama, Sade, A tribe called quest, Jimi Hendrix and Asap Rocky, each of them displaying a different and unique type of style, all of which can be recognized on my tracks, thus presenting a contemporary yet ageless sound to the mainstream scene.
Strwbry Jean Zine: If you were to collaborate with another artist, who would they be ?
LUI$A: I would love to work with artists like; Steve Lacy, Rina Sawayama, Kim Petras, and Brockhampton.
Strwbry Jean Zine: What is your favorite genre of music?
LUI$A: My favorite genres of music are Acid Jazz and Contemporary R&B
Strwbry Jean Zine: Do you want to perform live music?
Yes, absolutely. I love performing and dancing on stage
