Upcoming punk band, Pinkshift, based in Baltimore is set to release a new single on July 31st  to shed awareness on mental health titled, “ I’m gonna tell my therapist on you”. This single is inspired by an unjust mental health system and the feeling of being shunned by society.“It’s about being tossed between specialists and feeling unheard while existing in the healthcare system. As a band, we put together a sound that really expresses that feeling of ‘looking cr*zy.’ I wanted to be able to reclaim that feeling and make it something powerful that I hope others can relate to.” -Ashrita Kumar.

Their raw sound and unmatched energy is perfect when imagining you’re a cool best friend character in a coming of age movie. Pinkshift borderlines a mix between Riot Grrl sounds and the best of  punk rock from the early 2000’s.

This budding sensation of a band is not one to be missed as their energetic sound excites anyone who listens. “i’m gonna call my therapist on you” gives a new rendition of a classic punk sound in a creative and exciting way.

“I’m gonna tell my therapist on you” is available for presave on spotify now and will definitely be added to our “angst and rebellion” playlist. Keep a look out for this rocking single on July 31st

Pinkshift consists of Ashrita Kumar (vocals), Paul Vallejo (guitar), Myron Houngbedji (drums), Erich Weinroth (bass).
